During the meeting, the Japanese ambassador expressed immense grief over the Peshawar school massacre. He said that his government and the Japanese people are standing with the people of Pakistan especially the bereaved relatives of the victims, in this moment of grief.
Hiroshi Inomata praised the eternal sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism and said that the Japanese government holds these sacrifices in high esteem.
“Terrorism is an issue for all the states in the region including Pakistan”, he added.
While expressing interest in the establishment of Shaukat Khanum Caner Hospital in Peshawar, Inomata assured Imran Khan of special cooperation in public welfare projects.
On this occasion, Khan said that the Pakistani nation and his party highly values bilateral ties and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Japan.
He expressed his hopes that these ties will strengthen further in the future.
