JI ‘conditionally’ agrees to pull out nominee from NA-246

KARACHI: The situation regarding NA-246 Karachi is changing with every passing hour and now the sources within Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have claimed that Jamaat e Islami has ‘conditionally’ agreed to withdraw its candidate from the by-election, ARY News reported.

Sources privy to the development have claimed that Jamaat e Islami has agreed to pull out its candidate Rashid Naseem from NA-246 by-election in favor of Tehreek-i-Insaf.

However, no formal announcement has so far been made by the leadership of any of the two allied parties.

Earlier, Jamaat e Islami had conveyed a message to PTI to withdraw its candidate Imran Ismail in the run for NA-246 seat.

PTI leadership reportedly held consultation regarding the matter at the residence of Dr Arif Alvi, earlier in the evening.

However, it is now reported that JI has given a conditional nod to pull out Rashid Naseem, vacating the battleground for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
