JI holds 'million march' against Charlie Hebdo

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is taking out a million march here on Sunday to protest against the blasphemous caricatures published by French weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo, ARY News reports.

The march is being led by JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq.

The road from NIPA Intersection to University Road has been closed for traffic while a stage has been set up at Hassan Square where the party leaders will address the participants.

Thousands of JI supporters including women activists are taking part in the march to protest over the blasphemous sketches published by Charlie Hebdo.

It should be noted that political and religious parties are also rallying against over the caricatures while the sketches have also been condemned across the world.
