JI protests against execution of Bangladeshi leaders

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) staged a sit-in protest over the executions of Bangladeshi leaders on Sunday, ARY News reports.

JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq, addressing the protest at Lahore’ Regal Intersection, said that Pakistan should raise the issue on international level.

He added that Al-Badr and Al-Shams were not fighting on the basis of ethnicity or language in Bangladesh but for the sake of Pakistan.

“Death sentence has been pronounced on 25 innocent JI activists in Bangladesh whereas 4,000 others are imprisoned in different jails of the country.
