JI submits resolution against Altaf in PA

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday submitted resolution against MQM chief Altaf Hussain in the Punjab Assembly for his remarks against the army, ARY News reported.

The resolution was filed by JI parliamentary leader Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar. The resolution demands the federal government to take notice of Altaf Hussain’s and ban the Karachi-based party for hate speech delivered by its chief against security institutions of the country.

The JI also demanded case proceedings against the MQM under Article-6 of the Constitution.
