JIT formed to interrogate Amir Khan among 29 suspects

KARACHI: A joint investigation team has been constituted to question suspects arrested during Rangers raid at Nine Zero earlier this month, ARY News reported.

The team will grill 29 suspects including MQM leader Amir Khan who is currently under detention of Sindh Rangers.

Sindh Home Department has issued a notification in this regard.

Rangers on March 11 raided the office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the main political party in Karachi, seizing a “huge quantity” of weapons and arresting activists, including one accused of murdering a journalist.

At least one supporter of the MQM, the fourth-largest party in the national parliament, died as the paramilitary Rangers opened fire on protesting party members.
