The joint session is being convened to discuss Yemen situation and to reach a consensus on the debate whether Pakistan should get involved in Saudi-led campaign in Yemen or not.
Meanwhile, the government has convened a special meeting of the heads of parliamentary parties today to discuss a draft resolution on the Yemen crisis to be tabled in the joint session of the parliament.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected to give a policy statement on Yemen crisis in the parliament session.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan will not attend the session, said sources.
