JUIF demands Chaudhry Nisar to step down

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF), one of the allies of the government, has demanded the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar to step down, for no investigations being held into the suicide attack on Maulana Fazlur Rahman, ARY News reported.

According to details, a meeting of the executive council of JUIF took place on Tuesday to review the investigations of the suicide attack on Maulana Fazlur Rahman.

After the meeting, JUIF leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed strongly criticized the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

He said that Nisar holds prolonged press conferences even if someone sneezes, but he did not bother at least to condemn the attack on the JUIF chief.

Ahmed said a four-member delegation of his party will soon meet the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and it will inquire about the ones involved in the attack on Maulana Fazlur Rahman.

He also complained about the non-provision of security to the JUIF chief by the federation, adding that the his party will continue its struggle in the country and such cowardly attacks cannot shake our determination.
