Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk approved as new chief justice of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday approved the appointment of Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan, ARY News reported Monday.

Incumbent Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani will retire on July 4, 2014. He will be replaced by the Justice Mulk.

President has also approved the summary for installation of Justice Mulk as the new CJ of Pakistan. The new chief justice will take oath on July 5.

Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk was born on August 17, 1950 in Swat, Pakistan. He completed his degree of Bar-at-Law from Inner Temple London and was called to the Bar in 1977.
