According to ARY News, the counsel of Zulfiqar Mirza had filed a contempt of court plea against the government of Sindh and the Sindh Police.

The court had formed a division bench for the hearing of the case.

Justice Shaukat Ali Memon, a member of the bench, excused himself from hearing the petition on personal grounds.

The case sent back to the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court for formation of a new bench.

Policemen pullout from Mirza Farm

Policemen surrounding Mirza Farm in Badin have ended their blockade of the residence of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on Wednesday.

Policemen deployed to Badin from other areas while pulling out of the residence of the former home minister of Sindh, have made their camp at a government school building in the city.

The schoolchildren were sent home to provide space to the policemen.

Fehmida Mirza, former National Assembly speaker and spouse of Zulfiqar Mirza, on Tuesday said that her husband will not be able to appear in the hearing if the situation remains the same.

Cases were filed against the disgruntled PPP leader after he and his supporters ransacked a police station after the authorities arrested one of his closest aides.
