Kaira tells Imran to be careful about ‘political linguistics’

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said it was Imran Khan’s right to disagree, but the PTI chief should carefully use his words for political opponents, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Karachi, the PPP leader said Benazir Bhutto (late) signed Charter of Democracy (CoD) for betterment of the country. But some elements are terming it a ‘London Plan’, he added.

Kaira said “Plans are always secret and they are not public.”

He stressed that we should be very careful about ‘political linguistics’. He said appropriate use of language should be assured in political speeches.

The PPP leader said parliament had now unprecedented unity. The unity is not for power, he added.

Kaira said the Jamaat-e-Islami, the PTI’s coalition partner – was also not standing with Imran Khan.

To a question, he said, “We are just silent for the sake of country.”
