Kaira terms Sharif's Saudi visit 'against democracy'

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that it was not the democratic gesture of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit Saudi Arabia a day ahead of Senate elections in the country, ARY News reports.

Kaira, speaking to media, said that the PM Sharif should have casted his vote in the Senate elections which are set to take place on Thursday.

He added that the PM’s visit will not strengthen the democratic process in the country.

The PPP leader claimed that his party gain majority in the polls for the upper house of the Parliament.
