Kangana Ranaut just can’t stop being her outspoken self, can she?

The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood recently gave an interview in which she was quite critical of fairness creams (as she has been before) and stated that she did not support the ideology behind such advertisements. Kangana criticized her fellow actresses for endorsing such advertisements and stated that they subjected women to the image that they were less.

“It is very sad and I find it really humiliating cause we are a country of beautiful people. And women shouldn’t be subjected to this kind of discrimination. It is sort of that they are being stripped off their confidence or self-worth by endorsement of such creams called fairness creams. I oppose it and I am very ashamed that many celebs propagate it and endorse it,” said Kangana.

These statements can be attributed to Happy New Year actress Deepika Padukone and Phantom star Katrina Kaif. Whilst the former has endorsed Neutrogena fairness cream whilst Katrina Kaif is the brand ambassador of L’Oreal.

“It is painful to sit through something like that. But actors do that and many other models too. I feel we mustn’t fall for such traps,” she further said.

Kangana was also critical of the fact that these advertisements portrayed how brown-skinned girls’ problems solved as soon as they applied fairness creams. These advertisements showed that not being fair is sort of an abomination, which annoyed her.

Kangana Ranaut is Bollywood’s highest paid actress and is recently in Paris for the premiere of her movie Queen there. The actress was previously had been involved in a minor dispute with Deepika Padukone, which the two had solved when the former had been called up by the latter. However, mostly recently Kangana was miffed at Deepika, since the Tamasha actress had not responded to her special screening invitation of Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
