Kangana remarks on Deepika’s ‘My Choice’

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut while remarking on ‘My Choice’ video said that women empowerment cannot happen by becoming sexists.

In an event in Mumbai, when she was asked to comment on the video starring Deepika Padukone, Kangana remarked that women empowerment is all about evolving as a soul, as a human being adding that it does not mean that you become a sexist.

“Women empowerment does not mean you create [a] complex among men. Then it will take 20 more years to empower men”, remarked Ranaut.

The actress who recently bagged the film fare award for her role in move ‘Queen’ opined that the video must be appreciated for the effort towards promotion of women empowerment.

My Choice, a video directed by Homi Adjania shows actress Deepika Padukone talking about the freedom of choice that women must have regarding multiple issues, including having the choice to indulge in sex before marriage, out of marriage or not having sex at all.

The uber-talented Kangana has recently bagged a biopic on the late actress Meena Kumari. The movie will be helmed by filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia.
