Karachi: Doctor injured in firing at clinic, robber killed

shooting

KARACHI: A doctor was injured in firing at his clinic in Pak Colony area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to reports, Dr. Pritam Das was injured in firing by unknown criminals at his clinic in Pak Colony. Police, however said that the doctor was injured while resisting a robbery attempt.

The injured was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. The injured doctor has a bullet wound in chest and he has been in critical condition, hospital sources said.

Moreover, a robber was shot dead in an encounter in the city whereas law enforcement agencies arrested four suspected street criminals from different parts of the city.

According to police, armed robbers opened fire at them during a robbery attempt in North Nazimabad area.

An exchange of fire took place between the police and the criminals in which one of the robbers was killed whereas his accomplice was arrested in wounded condition.

Another street criminal was nabbed from Orangi Town’s Mominabad area after encounter with police. Policemen recovered weapons and stolen items from the arrested man.

Police also arrested three suspects of street crimes from Mehmoodabad and Nazimabad areas.
