Karachi firing incident claims 3 lives and injures 4

KARACHI: Law enforcement personnel were unable to contain violence in the city as three people died and four others were injured in a firing incident in the city.

According to police sources, unidentified armed assailants entered Jhanda Pir Mazar and opened fire at a sitting place inside the shrine. As many as 3 people were killed and 4 others were injured in the attack.

Police also verified that when the firing took place, as many as 8 to 9 people were present at the location. 9mm bullet shells were recovered from the crime scene.

In North Nazimabad’s block I, yet another violent incident took place in which a man named Irfan Haider was shot to his death inside a shop by armed assailants.

In Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi, a fake police officer’s CCTV footage has been obtained by ARY News. In the footage, it can be seen how the fake police official is looting the public.

In Quaidabad area of Karachi, Sindh Rangers apprehended 9 suspects involved in gang war. A large amount of weapons were seized from the criminals, including 3 Kalashnikov, 6 pistols, 1 rifle and 1 MP5.

Sindh Rangers and Sindh Polcie are involved in an operation aimed at cleansing Karachi from the influence of criminals and terrorists. Numerous high-profile arrests have been made in the recent past, in connection with financial funding and terrorism.
