KARACHI: Police arrested five suspects in raids across Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday.
Police raided Pak Colony area of Karachi and arrested two suspects Yaseen and Qadir who are said to be members of a group of gangsters involved in Lyari gang war.
The arrested men are accused of being involved in several cases of extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
Two pistols, a hand grenade and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession, police said.
An accused of a murder case was arrested from the jurisdiction of Artillery Maidan Police Station.
Three members of a robbery gang were nabbed from Madina Colony in Baldia Town and Surjani Town. They are said to be involved in more than 20 cases of robbery and street crimes.
A 30-year old woman, Mehreen, was injured in a shooting incident in Soldier Bazaar police jurisdiction.
