Karachi: Lea Market building fire extinguished

KARACHI: Twelve fire tenders after one hour struggle extinguished fire in Karachi’s Lea Market area on Saturday, ARY News reported.

The fire erupted at the ground floor of a residential building in a godown.

The residents of the building left their apartments in the building as the fire spread to other parts of the building.

The firefighters after one hour’s struggle extinguished the blaze.

No losses of life reported in the incident.

Fire incidents mostly cause losses of life and property and leave people homeless due to lack of proper fire fighting facilities and crew in southern port city of Pakistan.

A massive fire in December last year played havoc with the city’s major timber market with huge losses of life and property.
