Karachi Police chief demands more resources for success in operation

KARACHI: Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo in a letter to Inspector General Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali has asked for more resources for success in Karachi targeted operation, ARY News reported.

AIG Karachi in the letter, suggested buying 100 cars, 200 pickups, 500 motorcycles, 100 bullet-proof vehicles and 50 bullet-proof armoured vehicles.

Thebo demanded immediate recruitment of 10,000 police constables in Karachi police besides recruitment of 1000 retired army personnel.

Police chief of country’s most turbulent city maintained that due to limited number of policemen and lack of communication devices and weapons, the Karachi operation could not get expected results.
