Karachi: Seven terrorists killed in two Rangers raids in Orangi

Paramilitary Rangers, fighting terrorists and other criminals in Karachi, conducted two operations in Orangi Town in the span of 10 hours in which seven terror suspects were killed in blasts.

The Rangers in the wee hours of Tuesday morning conducted a raid at a house near Niazi Chowk of Mominabad in Orangi Town.

Terrorists hiding in the house opened fire and hurled grenades at Rangers personnel. Four terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with Rangers personnel, while one of them blew up his explosives.

According to a spokesman of Rangers, terrorists released a child during the enounter with law enforcement personnel.

The Rangers personnel had also conducted a raid at a house in Orangi’s Faqeer Colony last night, in which also a terrorist had blew up his suicide vest.

Director General Rangers Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar visited the house which was razed to ground after the blast. Three dead bodies of suspected terrorists were found from the rubbles of the house. A suspect was arrested in injured condition.

According to Rangers spokesman the terrorists hiding in the house were planning an attack.

The bomb disposal experts have said that five kilogrammes of explosives were used in the blast.
