Karachi: Suicide bomber blows himself up for fear of arrest

KARACHI: A suicide bomber blew himself up fear of arrest when law enforcement agencies raided a locality in Karachi’s Malir area in early hours of Sunday, ARY News reported.

Police and personnel of spy agencies jointly conducted a raid at a house in Malir’s Rafa-e-Aam society on a tip-off regarding presence of criminal elements.

Witnessing arrival of law enforcers, suicide bomber exploded himself to evade arrest. Two police officials sustained wounds in the blast who were immediately moved to a hospital.

The raiding team recovered heavy cache of weapons from the house.

Police have begun investigation into the incident and could interrogate people living in the neighbours of the locality to garner information to track real operatives of the terrorists group.

Rangers have been conducting targeted operations across the city for last seven months and held several criminals; many of them have been handed down punishment by the courts.
