Karachi: Terrorists open fire at DSP’s home, no casualties

KARACHI: Unknown armed men opened fire at the house of District Superintendent Police (DSP) Qamar Ahmed in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area but no casualties reported in the incident, ARY News reported.

DSP said that four terrorists on two motorcycles opened fire at his house in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-16 area of Karachi.

The windowpanes of the house shattered in the shooting incident.

Moreover, two persons were rounded up in injured condition after an encounter in Landhi No. 4 area. The arrested men were identified as Basit and Hassan.

Illegal weapons, stolen mobile phones and cash were recovered from the arrested men, police said.

Police arrested three more suspects, identified as Qasim Khan, Feroz Khan and Syed Akbar, from the jurisdiction of Peerabad police station.
