Karachi: Three MQM London Secretariat men arrested from Liaquatabad

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have arrested three terror suspects in a raid in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area and seized large number of weapons, ARY News reported on Saturday.

A press release of Rangers stated that the arrested suspects, identified as Rehan Ali alias Chikna, Zubair alias Achhu and Javed, are affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) London Secretariat and were involved in several cases of target killing.

A large number of arms including rifles, one sub-machine gun, 2222 bullets and 22 SMG magazines were recovered from the arrested men.

The statement said that the arrested suspects will be handed over to the police for legal proceedings.

The law enforcement agencies in targeted operations have arrested hundreds of terrorists and other criminals from Karachi.

The operation in Karachi was launched in September 2013 by paramilitary Rangers with the assistance of police and intelligence agencies, to rid the city from targeted killings, extortion, terrorism and kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes.
