Karachi: Traffic constable injured in cracker attack

KARACHI: Two people including a traffic constable were injured in a cracker attack by armed miscreants near Five Star roundabout in wee hours of the day, ARY News reported.

According to reports, the constable was standing near a traffic signal at Five Star Chowrangi when two miscreants riding a motorbike hurled cracker at the cop. In retaliation, the constable also resorted to fire, injuring the attackers.

However, they managed to flee the scene.

Rescue sources informed that another person passing by the traffic signal was also injured in the attack.

The terrorists, who fled after carrying the grenade attack, opened fire Five Star roundabout in North Nazimabad due to which a civilian was killed and a traffic warden was wounded.

It should be noted that a sub-inspector was shot dead in Gulistan-e-Jauhar as well.
