Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan send Shahid Kapoor a ‘special’ wedding gift

Shahid and Mira Rajput’s wedding affair was a low-key affair, with only 30-40 close family and friends attending the event. However, the grand reception of the couple in Mumbai on July 12 was a star studded event, with the who’s who of Bollywood attending the event. However, notably missing from the event were Shahid Kapoor’s ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan.

However, according to reports circulating in the Indian media, Kareena Kapoor and her husband compensated Shahid Kapoor for their absence on his special day by sending a special gift for the newly-wed couple. The details of the gift remain relatively unknown however, it sure made Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput really, really happy.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan had chosen to skip the event in order to escape the media and the spotlight. Also, the duo had chosen to let Shahid and Mira make the most of their special day, without inviting any awkwardness or discomfort of any sorts.

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan publicly dated each other for a period of three years. They both broke up eventually and Kareena moved on to wed Saif Ali Khan. After a bitter break-up, however, the two remained cordial and friendly with each other.

Another interesting point to note is the fact that Shahid Kapoor has recently grown close to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, since he will be seen in upcoming projects with both Bollywood heavyweights. Shahid Kapoor will be seen in an upcoming movie alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt in Udta Punjab whereas he has also been reportedly cast alongside Said Ali Khan in Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming movie.

It’s good to know that all hostilities between the couple and Shahid are over. However, the ‘special’ wedding present which pleased Shahid Kapoor is still shrouded in mystery.
