Bebo and Shahid Kapoor had been a couple way back in 2006, before Said Ali Khan stole the glamorous actress away from Shahid and made her his wife. Since Shahid has announced his intentions of tying the knot with Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput, everyone has been curious on obtaining Kareena’s take on it. The actress stated that she was happy for Shahid and that he had confided in her about his marriage, before he broke it to the media.
“We both performed at a recent event where he told me that he’s getting married, before he told the media. I’m very happy for him. And I can vouch for marriage being cool,” Kareena Kapoor was quoted as saying.
Kareena and Shahid had dated for three years before breaking up in 2007. The couple had publicly acknowledged their relationship prior to splitting and were one of the most famous celeb couples of Bollywood. They have starred in a couple of films together, such as Jab We Met in 2007 and Satish Kaushik’s Milenge Milenge. Kareena Kapoor will once again be seen with Shahid in another Bollywood film titled Udta Punjab, which will also feature stellar actress Alia Bhatt.
Ever since their break up in 2007, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have rarely spoken about their personal lives in public and have reportedly kept mum about their past. Kareena married Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on October 16th 2012.
Shahid will reportedly marry Mira Rajput next month, around July 8-10. If media reports are to be believed, the marriage is an arranged one and Mira Rajput is still a student of English (hons.) at LSR. Shahid Kapoor has previously been linked to actresses Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra.
It’s nice to see Kareena and Shahid wish each other well, after their break up. Let’s hope Mira Rajput turns out to be the best wife Shahid could possibly imagine being with!
