Sartaj Aziz said that he hopes that the United Nations and other international institutions will take note of the human right violations in Indian-held Kashmir.
He said that his meeting with Amin was held in a conducive environment where they discussed a range of issues included the situation in Kashmir. He said that the OIC supports the legitimate claims of Pakistan on Kashmir.
Aziz said that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon had also taken notice of the situation and had stressed on the need for dialogue to resolve the issue. He said that Pakistan was ready for dialogue but has received no positive response from India over the issue.
Ayad Amin said that a meeting of foreign ministers of OIC countries will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan this year. He invited Sartaj Aziz to attend it and welcomed the proposal by Pakistan to host the OIC Summit.
