According to a KE statement, the cut in power supply could cause a black-out in Karachi.

“Several areas including Hub industrial area would be severely affected by the power outages”, he added.

The power utility claimed that the Sindh High Court (SHC) has also issued orders in this regard. They have said that the federal government could be charged with contempt of court orders if it goes ahead with its plan.

“Targetting KE will have negative implications on the foreign investors”, concluded the KE statement.
