The law enforcement officials, in a meeting with KU Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Qaiser, made this revelation today.
While claiming to get important proofs in murder of Dr. Auj, police officials accentuated upon the KU VC that the varsity would have to take stringent decisions [to put its house in order].
Dr. Auj was shot dead at University Road near Baitul Mukarram Mosque when unidentified armed men opened fire on his vehicle. The wounded professor had died on the way to hospital.
In a probe, police interrogated three lecturers and colleagues of Dr. Auj who had reportedly given life threats to the professor over ideological differences.
The first information report (FIR) of Dr. Auj’s murder was registered at Aziz Bhatti Police Station.
