PM chairs key meeting in Karachi sans Governor

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed his resolve that government will restore peace in Karachi at all costs, ARY News reported.

He chaired a high-level meeting in which he was briefed about law and order situation in Karachi. It was the first time that Governor Sindh was not invited to the meeting and the sitting held at Faisal Base, instead of the Governor House.

The meeting was also attended by the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

Corps Commander Karachi and Director General Rangers briefed the Prime Minister about the ongoing operation against the terrorists in Karachi.

Prime minister said that operation against terrorism will continue till elimination of the last terrorist. He said that all possible support will be provided to the law enforcement agencies for operation against terrorists.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the decrease in the crime rate after the operation.
