Key member of Baba Ladla gang arrested from Peshawar

A key member of the notorious Baba Ladla group from Lyari named Rashid Baloch was arrested in Peshawar, ARY News reported.

According to details, the suspect is a key commander of the Baba Ladla group and was arrested by an intelligence agency and the Counter Terrorism Department from Kohat road in Peshawar, where he had taken residence. He is wanted in several cases pertaining to target killing and extortion. His name is Rashid Baloch.

CTD revealed there were various cases registered against Rashid Baloch in police stations throughout Karachi. He had carried out attacks against police in Karachi and had killed a number of influential personalities.

CTD also revealed that Baloch had filed a request for the acquisition of his passport and  for the verification of his National Identity Card from the NADRA office in Peshawar. He had absconded from Karachi to Peshawar, where he was in hiding. Police revealed that the Rangers operation had forced the suspect to seek refuge in Peshawar.

Just last month, Rangers personnel had arrested key Lyary gang-war leader Uzair Jan Baloch from the outskirts of Karachi. According to the version provided by law enforcement agencies, Uzair had been trying to enter the city when he was nabbed.
