KGS, Beaconhouse schools get top honours at O, AS & A levels

The students had sat for the Cambridge O’ Levels, Cambridge IGCSEs and Cambridge International AS’ and A’ Levels in June and November, 2015.

As many as 90 students have won awards in five different categories, which are: ‘Top in Pakistan’, ‘Top in Karachi’, ‘High Achievement’, ‘Best Across’, and ‘Top in the World’.

Those who have won the award include 11 students from KGS, (BSS), St Patrick’s High School and Mama Parsi Girls School achieved the highest marks in the world.

The awards celebrate outstanding academic achievements of secondary school learners in Pakistan in the June and November 2015 Cambridge examinations. KGS bagged the highest number of awards in all categories with 34 in total, followed by BSS students securing 12 awards.

The City School won nine awards, while The Lyceum School and Sargodhian Spirit Trust Public School, Rashidabad won eight each. The Generation School managed to secure five awards, while Mama Parsi Girls School and St Patrick’s High School won three each.

The ‘High Achievement’ award acknowledges outstanding performance in non-mainstream subjects, such as German as a foreign language, art and geography.
