Khursheed Shah warns of furnace oil shortage

SUKKUR: Leader of Opposition in Pakistan National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Friday said that country will descend into darkness if the furnace oil shortage is not taken seriously by the government, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after the conference in memory of Peshawar attack victims, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader claimed that only four days of furnace oil is left adding that if the government does not pay heed, the country will descend into darkness.

He stressed upon the need to take urgent measures to overcome the petrol and furnace oil shortage otherwise country should brace for a national disaster.

It is pertinent to note here that a severe shortage of petrol in Punjab has already resulted in a slowdown in economic activity. Government officials believe the situation will be resolved within a week.
