The statement which Altaf Hussain claimed was only sarcastic in sense is drawing huge criticism from all quarters and the latest to join the bandwagon is Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khwaja Asif.
In a statement issued today, Asif said that the kind of statement Altaf issued for RAW cannot be issued by a Pakistani national adding that MQM chief has set a tradition of issuing controversial statements and then apologizing over the mess he creates.
“How many times will he apologise, there is a limit to everything”, said Asif.
The PML-N stalwart made it clear that the statement will be legally pursued.
The Minister also criticized what he called ‘pseudo Baloch nationalists’ by claiming that most of them have Indian passports and some of them even travel on those passports.
It must be noted that the standing committee on defence also decided to take legal action against Altaf Hussain over the statement which they termed ‘Anti-Army’.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan assemblies of the country have also adopted resolutions against MQM chief over his outbursts against Pakistan Army and the statement in which he hinted at acquiring help from RAW (Indian Intelligence Agency).
