Kissan Package: ECP seeks reply from Finance Ministry

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has sought details of Kissan Package from the Ministry of Finance, ARY News reported.

The ECP also sought copy of the reply submitted by the government in the court. The hearing into the case was conducted by five-member ECP bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan.

He said issuing funds for a project after announcement of election schedule was violation of the ECP code of conduct.

While, secretary finance said Kissan Package was included in the budget 2015-16.

The hearing was adjourned till December 1. The government had announced Kissan Package besides reducing prices of fertilizers, rice and cotton.
