KP Apex Committee decides to prevent cross-border extortion calls

PESHAWAR: Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Saturday said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA are standing against terrorists and they have isolated the militants, ARY News reported.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the KP Apex Committee today held a meeting at the Corps headquarters Peshawar with the army chief in chair.

The meeting was attended by DG ISI, Lt Gen Rizwan Akhter, corps commander Peshawar, governor KP, CM Pervez Khattak and senior officials of KP and FATA Secretariat.

The apex committee decided to take measures to prevent extortion calls from Afghanistan, for which a high-level delegation will soon visit Kabul.
