KP govt creating hurdles in way of double-track railway line: Rafique

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique on Sunday accused Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government of creating hurdles in the way of building double-track railway lines in the province, ARY News reported.

Khawaja Saad Rafique, speaking to media on Monday, said that the federal government plans on building double track railway lines from Lahore to Torkham via Peshawar but the KP government is interfering in the project.

He added that no one can stop Pakistan from being developed if the management of the state institutions, laborers and politicians work together as one.

The railways minister said that he wants to set the department right in the government’s tonight for which he is working double shifts without any charges.

He added that the laborers will be paid for working overtime.
