LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government issued funds for Darul Uloom Haqqania without asking him, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while talking to media on Thursday.

Khan said, “I am the chairman of the ruling party, not the Chief Minister of the province. CM KP Pervez Khattak will disclose why funds of Rs. 30 billion were issued to Darul Uloom Haqqania.”

The PTI chairman stated that he wishes to bring 22 students, studying in seminaries across the province, into mainstream.

Imran Khan announced that a campaign will be launched against the federal government regarding the investigation of Panama Leaks which will continue till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is held accountable.

“We will not withdraw from our demand of holding PM Nawaz Sharif accountable,” he added.

“There are three things which are harming Pakistan the most. Tax evasion, corruption and money laundering. PM Nawaz is involved in all of these crimes,” Khan said.

“PM Sharif should remove his misunderstanding that monarchy is prevailing in the country. There is democracy in the country and there no separate laws for the public and prime minister,” PTI chairman said.

He said that Panama Leaks has proved that the prime minister did corruption.
