KP orders non-closure of roads for VIPs

PESHAWAR: After a ten-month-old girl died amid VIP protocol in Karachi on Wednesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has ordered that none of the roads will be closed for the sake VIPs’ movement across the province, ARY News reported.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak today issued directives to concerned officials for notifying the measure adopted by the provincial government.

Senior KP minister Mushtaq Ghani told that from now onwards no special route will be fixed for anyone including PM, president and federal ministers.

He said the provincial government will provide due security details, but it won’t allow anyone to cause difficulties for general public.

Yesterday, a ten-month-old girl Bisma died after her father failed to reach Karachi’s Civil Hospital, due to the VIP protocol of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The incident drew public outrage as the news flashed across media.

Addressing a public meeting in Lodhran today, PTI Chairman Imran Khan promised that in future traffic will not be stopped for the VIPs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
