KU student group stops male and female students from playing cricket together

KARACHI: Several activists belonging to a student wing of a religious party attacked boys and girls as they were playing cricket together at Karachi University (KU), ARY News reports.

According to details, the activists of the student chapter of the right winged party beat the youngsters while they were playing cricket in the educational institute.

One of the KU’s staff members said that the clash broke out when several boys, that were playing cricket with the girls exchanged heated words with the activists of the religious party who had come to stop them. He added that several girls were also got hit when they tried to save their friends.

He added that the students play cricket while they wait for their buses to take them home.

A spokesman of the student wing claimed that no such incident had taken place.

After the incident, the activists of All Pakistan Muttahida Students’ Organisation (APMSO) staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club against the activists of the religious parties.
