A secret agency detained five suspects of terrorist attacks on two churches in Youhanabad locality of Lahore and handed them over to CIA Police for investigation, sources said.
According to sources, detained suspects were facilitators of the church attackers and maps and other relevant articles have been recovered from their possession.
The police has transferred the suspects to undisclosed place for investigation and their names being kept secret, sources added.
At least 15 people were killed and more than 70 injured when suicide bombers attacked two churches in Lahore on March 15 this year. The bombings sparked mob violence in which two passers by lynched to death.
The bombings occurred during prayers at two churches located around half a kilometre apart in the city’s Youhanabad neighbourhood.
