Lahore: Police recovers two missing children
According to police, DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf had instructed the authorities to carry out search operations and snap checking in the city after missing cases of children were reported to the department.
Four-year old Fatima, who is a resident of Abdullah Street in Lahore, was recovered from Samanabad area on Sunday afternoon whereas Haider, a seven-year old boy, was found from Defence Y-Block during the police search.
The two children were returned to their families after investigation, police sources said.
There is an alarming increase in the incidents of missing and kidnapping of children in Lahore. Since January, 681 child abduction cases have been registered in the city.
