Director Wajahat Rauf has dispelled the impression that his upcoming film ‘Lahore Se Aagey’ is a sequel of ‘Karachi se Lahore’ and said that both are complete different films.
Lahore Se Aagey is scheduled to be released on 11th November under the banner of ARY Films and Showcase Productions. The films stars Yasir Hussain and Saba Qamar.
Rauf while speaking to ARY News said that Lahore Se Aagey cannot be called a sequel for ‘Karachi se Lahore’, and both are completed different film. Karachi se Lahore was released in July 2015 and starred Shehzad Shaikh and Ayesha Omer.
When asked why Saba Qamar was chosen for the film, Rauf said they wanted a tall girl to act in the film. Also, he and Yasir had seen a lot of her dramas and were highly impressed by her acting skills, and was convinced that she was a versatile actress.
He has expressed confidence in Saba who had lived up to their expectations. “Yasir told me that Saba was from Lahore, and we need a Lahori girl who could be the identity of the film,” he said. Keeping this in mind, Saba was chosen for the film.
Saba said that she is playing the role of a musician, who is really crazy to pursue her passion. She revealed that she has boyfriend in the film but refused to share who is playing the role.
The actress has worked in a several television dramas and films, but when said why what she felt was different between them, Saba said that film had a much wider canvas and there was much more acting scope. She said that she has enjoyed working in both film and dramas.
The film has been shot in the Northern areas in Pakistan. Yasir told an interesting incident about a place popular for trout fishing where a minister (name not disclosed) sent a huge quantity of the fish for the cast and crew of the film.
There was so much fish that they distributed it to everyone in the area and even the watchmen were given fish. Also, they stopped local passerby and tourists and gave them the trout fish so it would not be wasted.
Lahore Se Aagey is a travel-adventure film and shows the protagonists face severe joyous moments and hazards during their journey. The soundtrack for the film includes five songs including one item song based involving Yasir and Saba.
The songs have be sung by Shiraz Uppal. The film also stars Behroze Subzwari, Rubina Ashraf, Abdullah Farhat, Amir Sultan and Atiqa Odho.
