LARKANA: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday approved the pre-arrest bail of former Chief Minister of Sindh Mumtaz Ali Bhutto in a murder case, ARY News reported

Justice Shahnawaz Tariq accepted the application in his chambers seeking pre-arrest bail, and approved it for ten days after ordering to submit surety bonds of Rs. 100,000.

The counsel for Bhutto said that local police in Larkana has booked Bhutto in the murder case of Asad Khuhro. He also said that police had cordoned the ancestral house of Bhutto in Larkana.

The counsel stated that the case was political motivated, and pleaded the court to approve the pre-arrest bail application, which was accepted.

The former chief minister was among nineteen people booked by local police in Larkana in the murder of a member of the Khuhro family.  Consequently, police arrested five accused including a son of the estate manager of Bhutto.

The FIR lodged claims that that the murder was committed on the behest of Bhutto, one of the heavyweights of Sindh and an influential landlord. A team of Larkana police had been sent to Karachi to arrest him.
