TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), stated on Tuesday that the resolution regarding the Local Bodies (LB) Elections in the National Assembly of Pakistan, should not be ignored, ARY News reports.

Earlier, National Assembly (NA) passed a resolution to delay the LB Elections till March 2014.

While expressing his opinion on a social media website, Bilal Bhutto Zardari stated that fingers were raised in the General Elections held in May. The decisions made by the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) have again raised questions.

He added that it’s impossible to hold LB Polls in the current situation.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the LB Elections should not be made debatable by ignoring the resolutions passed to delay the polls.

The PPP Chairman said that LB Polls are being held despite the fact that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is not ready and legislation in this regard is also incomplete.

He further alleged that the court wants to benefit Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) with early LB polls.
