LEAs nab more than 300 suspects in Islamabad, Rawalpindi

According to police sources, the law enforcement agencies carried out search operations in the jurisdictions of I-9, Sabzi Mandi, Golra, Koral, Shehzad Town, Nilore and Bhara Kahu police stations in Islamabad.

Crackdowns were held in the jurisdictions of Peerudhai, New Town, Waris Khan, Sadiqabad, Ratta Amral, Westridge, Naseerabad, R.A. Market, Saddar Beruni, Morgah, Civil Lines, Wah Cantt, Jatli, Kotli Sattian, Kalar Syedan, Kahuta, Rawat and Mandira police stations of Rawalpindi.

More than 300 suspected persons were arrested in the search operations in which four people are foreign nationals. Weapons were also recovered from three arrested suspects.

LEAs have tightened the monitoring on the entry and exit points of the twin cities whereas the government buildings are public places are being closely monitored as well.

It should be noted that security forces and law enforcement agencies have stepped up operations against criminals and terrorists after the heinous attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School which claimed the lives of 144 people including 132 children and nine staff members.
