Police carried out a raid at a densely populated area of Janjaal Goth in Sohrab Goth and arrested Azeem Khan Mehsud, father of Taliban Karachi commander Daud Khan Mehsud, in the operation.
According to SP Qamar Ahmad, Daud Mehsud was an ex-police officer who had joined the militant group of Hakeemullah Mehsud. He added that Daud’s father is responsible for the killing of policemen and Rangers personnel in the metropolis.
“Azeem is also the mastermind of the bomb attack on the house former SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam”, he said.
He stated that all efforts are being made to arrest the said commander.
