According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), fighter jets pounded militant hideouts at Dattakhel that killed 35 militants.
Foreign terrorists were also amongst the casualties, ISPR stated.
It should be noted that the security forces stepped up its operation against criminals and terrorists after the Taliban’s attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School in which 150 people including 135 children and nine staff members were killed.
More than 1000 militants have been killed since Pakistan Army launched Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber-I military offensive in the North Waziristan and Khyber Agency.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also lifted the moratorium on death penalty in terrorism cases.
