According to details, Iffat Soomro had filed a petition with LHC Multan Bench raising objection over the nomination papers of Siddique Baloch for NA-154 by-election. He stated that by-election in the constituency is being held due to the disqualification of Baloch over fake educational certificates.
“The current nomination filed by Siddique Baloch also has flaws such as not declaring his property and actual worth of vehicle owned by him,” noted the petitioner.
He also said that Siddique Baloch’s son Umair Baloch had also filed nomination from same constituency, who was allotted ‘lion’ as electoral sign.
“But, the same has been wrongly allotted to Siddique Baloch, that too after deadline to withdraw nomination papers has been expired, ” argued the petitioner.
After listening to the arguments, the LHC ordered cancellation of the nomination papers filed by Siddique Baloch for NA-154 Lodhran by-polls.
AT this, workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) also took out a rally and hailed the LHC verdict.
