Malik directed to normalize PPP's ties with MQM

KARACHI: Co-Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has handed the task of normalize the party’s topsy-turvy relations with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to PPP Senator Rehman Malik, ARY News reports.

Asif Zardari chaired a party meeting at Karachi’s Bilawal House in which Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah briefed the former president about the situation in Karachi along with the PPP’s ties with MQM.

The ex-president instructed the PPP senator Malik to normalize the party’s relations.

It should be noted that Rehman Malik served as a mediator between PPP and MQM when his party was governing the country the last time around.

Sources said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tour to Karachi was also discussed in the party meeting as well. Zardari also instructed the Sindh chief minister to present the party’s stance strongly and brief the premier about the situation of the province.
